Gathering together to honor a few distinct individuals, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences held their 3rd Annual Governors Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday night (November 12). Held at the Hollywood & Highland Grand Ballroom, the yearly event brought out a long list of stars including John Travolta with wife Kelly Preston , Evan Rachel Wood , Alec Baldwin and Maria Shriver . Other stars gracing the arrivals area before heading inside to take their seats at the ritzy soiree were Sharon Stone, Tilda Swinton, Viola Davis, Woody Harrelson, Diablo Cody, Melissa McCarthy, Shailene Woodley, Glenn Close and Seth Rogen.

Joining her husband on the cast of the upcoming “Gotti: Three Generations” film, Kelly Preston has officially signed on for a major role. Fiore Films confirmed to press that the “Last Song” actress will be playing Victoria Gotti, wife to John Gotti Sr, who will be played by her real-life hubby, John Travolta .

Getting a break from parental duties, John Travolta and Kelly Preston turned up at the 2011 G’Day USA Black Tie Gala in Hollywood, California on Saturday night (January 22). Held at Hollywood Palladium, the couple was all smiles as thet posed for pictures at the annual event while joining fellow attendees including John Easterling, Olivia Newton John and Abbie Cornish. Talking with press on hand, Miss Preston said that their newborn baby Benjamin was safe and sound at home with big sister Ella Blue and a babysitter.

Clearing up rumors of an early arrival, Kelly Preston has not gone into labor as was widely reported earlier today (November 14). The Herald Sun claimed that John Travolta left Australia prematurely upon hearing that his wife was ready to give birth to their son, but it seems that John made his Land Down Under exit as planned before the overseas trip.
