She’s always given her all to every role she takes on, and Michelle Williams earned herself an Oscar nod for Best Actress thanks to her work in “My Week With Marilyn.” It was announced early Tuesday morning (January 24) that the “Blue Valentine” beauty nabbed the nomination while she’s up against Glenn Close (“Albert Nobbs”), Viola David (“The Help”), Rooney Mara (“The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo”), and Meryl Streep (“The Iron Lady”).

It’s arguably the biggest awards show of the year, and this morning (January 24) the 84th Annual Academy Awards nominations were announced. Tom Sherak, president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, and “The Hunger Games” actress Jennifer Lawrence did the honors, sharing the various nominees for the coveted Oscar trophy.
