Taking a break from her “Battleship” movie-making efforts, Rihanna enjoyed a little fun in the sun in Honolulu, Hawaii over the holiday weekend (September 5). Proudly showing off her bikini body (along with her numerous tattoos), the “Don’t Stop the Music” songstress attempted paddle surfing and kayaking before opting to splash around the Pacific waters with her friends and family.

Still busily promoting her latest album, Miranda Cosgrove took the stage for the “Today” show’s Labor Day Special in New York City on Monday morning (September 6). Taking place in Rockefeller Center, the 17-year-old made her live smallscreen performance debut as she cranked out three tunes including her smash hit “KIssin U”. As for her career efforts, Miss Cosgrove is also gearing up for an all-new episode of iCarly premiering on Nickelodeon on Saturday, September 11.

Backing up ongoing rumors surrounding her expected departure, it has been confirmed that Kara DioGuardi’s run on “American Idol” is officially over. Joining Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres as exiting judges, Kara told, “I felt like I won the lottery when I joined American Idol two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave Idol.” Making a name for herself thanks to her FOX job, Kara adds, “I am very proud to have been associated with American Idol — it has truly been an amazing experience.” Commenting on Miss DioGuardi’s decision to exit, “American Idol” executive producer Simon Fuller said, “I will miss having her on the show, but I look forward to working with her in music for many years to come.”

Gearing up for the premiere of “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam” later this week, Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers were spotted doing some promotional duties yesterday (September 1). The “Sonny with a Chance” babe and the “Burnin Up” rockers looked to be in good spirits as they posed for pictures at the Wal-Mart in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Of course, Demi and the boys also signed plenty of autographs for their eager fans like the gracious celebrities that they are.
