Focused on his passion to help the ongoing Haiti relief efforts, Sean Penn participated in a discussion at the Brooking Institution in Washington, D.C. on Monday (January 10). The discussion was focused on the current situation in Haiti, one year after the devastating earthquake had hit the Caribbean nation

He was passionate in his play to get on the Presidential ballot in Haiti, and though he was unsuccessful, Wyclef Jean isn’t content to sit back and let his critics get the best of him. The Fugees rapper took aim at Sean Penn , who was very vocal in dismissing Wyclef’s presidential bid, during an interview over the weekend. Wyclef declared, “I got a message for Sean Penn: Maybe he ain’t see me in Haiti because he was too busy sniffing cocaine.” As for his former bandmate Pras, Jean said, “I got a message for Praswell, even though you don’t want to support me, I got love for you, even though you only kicked 8 bars in the Fugees.”

Given the devastation in his homeland of Haiti, Wyclef Jean has declared his candidacy for the office of President. But Sean Penn isn’t convinced it’s a good idea. The “Mystic River” actor has been heavily involved in the earthquake relief efforts from the start and he says he’s not sure Jean’s presidency is the answer

Adding to the list of unruly celebrity children, Sean Penn’s son Hopper Jack was arrested by the LA Country Sheriff’s department last week. The 16-year-old was taken into custody, though the fact that he’s a minor has prevented any details surrounding the arrest to be divulged.
